Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
Mostly prints and drawings rather than oils. Cabaret bills, the Moulin Rouge, singers and dancers caught mid-gesture, and a handful of quieter portraits. Flat colour, a quick line, a lot of bare paper.
As a puzzle
Harder than it looks. A lithograph gives you broad flat areas with nothing inside them, so you work from the edges of shapes and from the lettering instead of from texture. Keep the count low and let it take the evening.
A good size here: 50–200 pieces.
